Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is being conducted by seven IITs namely Roorkee, Bombay, Madras, Delhi, Kharagpur, Guwahati, and Kanpur) and IISC. GATE 2018 examination is organized by IIT Roorkee. The exam is conducted for seeking candidates for admission to M. Tech. / M.E. Programmes offered under GFTI, IITs, NITs and various other institutions.

GATE 2018 Examination – Eligibility Criteria
All of the candidates who are applying for GATE 2018 should make sure that they meet all of the following required eligibility criteria. The given eligibility criteria of GATE 2018 have to be met by the candidates:
Indian nationals along with international students from Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia and United Arab Emirates (UAE) will be eligible for GATE 2018.
The candidates should have completed their Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Master’s degree in Science in a relevant subject.
Final year students can also apply for the exam.
There is no age limit for the entrance test.
There is also no specified minimum pass percentage (qualifying exam) to apply for GATE 2018
To be eligible for GATE 2018, the candidates should have qualified any one of the following examinations:
B.E. or B. Tech.
M.Sc./M.A./MCA or Equivalent
Int. M.E. / M. Tech. or Dual Degree (after Diploma or 10+2)
Int. M.Sc/Int. B.S. – M.S.
Professional Society Examinations (equivalent to B.E. / B. Tech.)
GATE 2018 Online Application Form
The GATE 2018 Notification will release in the month of August/September. This registration process is available on GATE online Processing System (GOAPS).Every should upload scanned photograph, signature, qualifying degree certificates, and thumb impression. The Registration of Graduate Aptitude Test is online. Every candidate should upload scanned photograph, signature, qualifying degree certificates, and thumb impression while filling the Application. GATE 2018 Online Application fee will be payable through Debit card/Credit Card/Net Banking. You should enter any one of the identification numbers as an ID Proof.

Gate 2018 Application Form Correction/Modification
Minor modifications will be permitted in the GATE 2018 application form. The correction will be allowed only after the submission of application form. In case, if any mistake has committed by the candidate in the application then, he/she has to send an email subjecting “Correction in data (Enrollment Number)” along with the documented proof.
If any candidate has to make a correction or modification in the GATE 2018 Application Form then it is going to be granted for the fields like Applicant’s Name, Date of Birth, Parent or Guardian Name, Change of category from Gen to OBC or vice versa, and the Year of Qualifying Degree.
GATE 2018 Syllabus
Within the overall GATE 2018 Exam Process, there are 23 papers. The exam syllabus for every single discipline is not the same. To prepare for the examination in an effective manner, it is significant to recognize every single topic or subject from which the questions or problems are going to be asked. It is difficult to get the whole syllabus of GATE in only some lines. Though, the candidates may download the certified PDF file for the GATE 2018 syllabus for the fields namely AG, AE, BT, AR, CH, CE, CY, CS, EE, EC, XE, EY, IN, GG, ME, MA, MT, MN, PH, PE, TF, PI, and XL.

GATE 2018 Examination Centers
All exam centers of GATE 2018 will be segregated under the zonal centers. Around 195 cities will be listed as GATE 2018 exam centers where a total of more than 680 test centers will be available for the candidates. Selection of three exam centers has to be done by the candidates while filling the online application form. International candidates will be able to attempt the examination at the following international cities:

Addis Ababa (Ethiopia)
Abu Dhabi/Dubai (UAE)
Procedure for GATE 2018 Registration Online
- Every candidate will have to apply through the online mode only.
- The registration for GATE 2018 is going to begin from 1st of September 2017.
- The final date to register or apply online is 5th of October 2017.
- The candidates need to fill up the GATE 2018 online application form by means of the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS).
- The applicants need to register themselves as a New User.
- Once the candidates are successfully registered, they are granted the access to GOAPS.
- Subsequently, they need log in by means of the GOAPS Enrollment ID & Password.
- Whenever you fill the online application form, the students are required to upload their scanned signature, photo, degree certificate or category certificate (if needed), and thumb impression.
- All the international applicants may also apply following the same set of steps, but the international applicants must hold a legal passport to register for GATE 2018.
